Visionary Optics

Went in today and walked out with new glasses which in my 20 years of wearing glasses is UNHEARD of. Everyone here was lovely, knowledgeable, and they really were so proud of all their offerings since they offer a unique range of brands. I have a pretty high prescription and therefore am limited with what types of frames I’m able to wear due to the lens thickness, however, here, I was able to get the thinnest lens I’ve ever gotten. I will definitely be back and it’s safe to say I just bought a pair that will last me a lifetime!

Staff is amazing. They're clearly passionate and extremely knowledgeable about frames / eyewear. Premium products with premium prices, but extremely worth it to get them from a shop like this.

I grew up in Carroll Gardens and own a business too. I completely disagree with other reviewers. I loved Gil for who he was, his personal touch and hope he is doing well. But the new shop is another level, the new owners are great. Be sure to take the time to discuss your needs with them, and get your eyes checked, and then measure your results. They have decades of experience, actually care, know their stuff, have friendly helpful staff, and take pride in what they do. To me this is exceptional especially given the lack of real business owners we usually get in Brooklyn. I don't bother to go anywhere else

Hands down my favorite place to buy glasses anywhere. Their selection of brands is remarkable, and the sales staff overall have a really great eye for the frames and brands that will best work for you. Several times I've walked in with a plan to see a specific frame I know they carry, and wind up introduced to one or several similar or related frames or designers. Last time I wound up in some Blake Kuwahara frames I love. Also they work with my optical insurance.
