Virtua Voorhees Hospital

Awesome staff here. From checkin to recovery, the staff were professional, courteous, friendly and caring. Julie in preop, I hope I am remembering correctly, was training someone and she did not miss a step in doing her job. Kati in recovery, was great. Each staff member should be recognized. Dr Bodin, excellent excellent excellent. The anesthesiologist was excellent too. I can not remember his name. Thank you all for doing such fantastic work.

Update after 2 month of being here! After having to give birth to my baby at another hospital, that did not survive still being pregnant with my second twin getting transferred here to the Voorhees hospital was a big relief. The nurses the doctors all of the staff have treated my husband and I great. Honestly, if I had to go to any other hospital, I would probably kick a fit. The food started off a lot better than another hospital but after being here for a little over 2 month it has went down hill. Takes over a hour to get to you so the hot food is warm or cold and the cold/frozen food is melted or room temp. I have found fruit flys in my food and black stuff maybe from the grill. You can order scrambled eggs and they will send a boiled one. You start to lean who will mess your order up

I’m very overwhelmed with my upcoming procedure and the staff made me feel at ease everyone was so nice and pleasant. I had to to go to the lab right after my dr visit and my phlebotomist was Mirlinda. She was amazing. I get dizzy sometimes with bloodwork and she made sure I was okay and comfortable. Thank you Mirlinda and rest of staff.

Triage went well, very fast and responsive and we didn’t wait long in a waiting room to be seen. But then we spent 2 hours in a hallway next to an open room without any reason given. We were bumped into constantly and being exposed to every half naked patient that wants to go to the bathroom was embarrassing for everyone involved. Again none of this would have been an issue if we were put into the room literally next to us that has been left open for, as of now, our entire stay. Virtua boasts they treat patients with “dignity, respect, and a right to privacy” but clearly they’re all talk.

My experience for my surgery was a positive one. My pre op nurse Lisa M made me feel very comfortable. Her kindness, humor and compassion were just what I needed before my procedure. Thank you!
