Vinay Sood

I had a very concerning colonoscopy experience with Dr. Sood. He was the GI assigned to me for an in-patient emergency stay at Saratoga Hospital. You are assigned a GI (you don't get to pick) so I was simply told that Dr. Sood would be doing my colonoscopy and was not given the opportunity to meet him beforehand. When I was wheeled into the operation room he did not introduce himself, acknowledge me, or even smile. He just stared. There was not an ounce of warmth to Dr. Sood. Alarmingly, I had no idea he was even the doctor since he did not introduce himself or speak to me besides saying in a gruff manner "turn over". I only found out who he was after asking one of the nurses, who was in the middle of getting ready to administer my sedative. Not introducing yourself is unusual and irrespon

Poor beside manner, rude, impatient and zero empathy. Also witnessed him “scolding” a nurse about scheduling emergencies and referencing the 5:00 hour he leaves. loudly. I was embarrassed for her. He had no idea I was on the other side of the curtain. The star system does not allow for a zero otherwise I would have.

Has been very knowledgeable and confident which could come off as irritating or abrasive. I for one want someone who knows what they are doing rather than searching for a new friend. The whole office is very efficient and very professional!!
