Villa at Great Lakes Crossing

My mom was sent here for PT/OT. Her health issues had diminished her mobility and she needed to be able to get back to where she was. The facility had good reviews and was close to my home. The staff was pleasant when I was there. My mother's mental faculty has not been diminished. She caught Covid several days after being admitted. She was refused care from a CNA because she had Covid. When she asked for assistance she was told "dang ehy can't you do it yourself." She was not allowed access to the joint bathroom but her bedside camode was not emptied for hours. A beverage was spilled in her room during lunch and though I reported it to the CNA K. Jackson it was never cleaned up. I left the facility around 4pm and re turn at 11pm to take my mother home AMA. Very unprofessional the afternoon shift. Don't check on the people. They just sit in the rooms, aint nobody doing nothing with them. And the administrator has a problem.She's very rude.Do not take your people there.You'll have to check on them every single day or they'll be dead better straight to try to tell us that my mama was eating chicken and all of this stuff.And to find out that all of the food that she claimed that she ate was in the bowl.She didn't touch none of that food They had her on a regular diet and she has heart failure.Don't put nothing in the notes. Thank god she has people 🙏🏿 🙌 in her life that cares they dont

Ms Jackson was the CNA for my sister in room 213. She was very pleasant and willing to help when needed. Also the gentleman in maintenance came to respond to a request to adjust her wheelchair. He listened to the request and took the wheelchair and repaired it right away. It was corrected to her satisfaction and now she can use it without fear of falling. He was extremely knowledgeable and performed above and beyond his job expectations. Having staff like these help make her stay in the facility tolerable.

The staff ( l mean all of them) were truly a blessing in my life when I needed them Words almost can’t express the peace and joy that radiated from everyone I encountered during my stay of rehabilitation The facility is a bright shining diamond that can light your path if you choose to open your eyes to see yourself growing toward whatever journey your made be experiencing related to your health
