As someone who has quiet a lot of doctors in the family to go to for the second opinion, I am very confident to say that Dr. Sasson is great in what he is doing (knees and shoulders operations). He did my son's ACL and meniscus operations, my shoulder rotator cuff, and now my knee meniscus. He checks you, does an x-ray, and sends you for MRI. Only after MRI does he make decisions about whether to proceed with the surgery or not. He answers all your questions. He makes sure you are called the next day after the procedure, and he sees you without an appointment after that in his office. He gives you referrals for PT as needed. I truly don't know how this doctor ended up in the profession of helping people. He is shouldn't be dealing with people if he cannot treat everyone equally. My mom went to him and all he was interested in was "good insurance" and getting paid. He misdiagnosed my mom on purpose to instill fear in her due to her current medical issue and to bill her insurance. When he did an x-ray on her he gave her a bogus diagnosis. He recommended an MRI and when the results came back suddenly he didn't know what he was seeing in the image and made no recommendations for my mom. He was dismissive. Doctors like this need their license to practice revoked. He was was NYU before which is a very good facility and seeing how he operates I can clearly see why he's no longer there.

I can't begin to tell you how amazing you are and the greatness that follows.. when I needed a surgeon that was careful, friendly and compassionate Dr. Sasson was the one.. he will have you cracking up and feel comfortable during and after your visit.. on my day of surgery he made me feel safe and secure and after surgery he will visit you as much as you need him.. he's never made me feel alone nor neglected and he will never forget you no matter how long you haven't seen him. I've moved to CONNECTECUT and feel often sad not having him as my doctor and had to do surgery here after in my hands but if I was in New York I would trust no one else but him... the anesthesiologist was also amazing.. they made me feel free and cluste
