So I am going to be very honest, at first I didn't like her. When I returned to Dr. Vicki after leaving the area for a few years I brought my daughter back with hesitation. After talking with another parent that her kids to Dr. Vicki I was reassured I made the best decision. Yes, she's a little hard to communicate with but guess what...she is your KID'S doctor. She is advocating for your child. Your child has a voice and she wants to communicate with them. She is evaluating them during their communication. She really cares and she will see your child right away. She is speaking with them to find out how THEY are feeling. Dr. Vicki was my friends pediatrician growing up and I knew she was the one who would be my children's doctor back then. She resolved issues other doctors had missed and didn't talk down to kids. This was important to me, for my children to feel heard. Now I've had her for all 5 of our children. Two of them grown, three little ones. She and her staff have been wonderful. She's always been kind to my children and taken good care of them. No other doctor would squeeze in 3 little kids for a sick visit all at once and keep it together through the chaos. She also has a sense of humor that makes a stressful situation much easier to bear. They've never made me feel terrible for being a few minutes late. I have been taking my children to Dr. Vicki for over 19 years. I agree with another reviewer, Dr. Vicki is a pediatrician, she speaks to the child. I've always felt my kids were getting the best of care. The office staff is AMAZING! If you have a child who has any mental health or emotional issues, Dr. Vicki is the one to see. She cares so much and so does her staff. If your kids are LGBTQ--you won't find anywhere they are more welcome. The compassion and level of care I've received for my trans daughter is phenomenal. Dr. Vicki might not be everyone's cup of tea, but as far as I am concerned her and her staff are the cream of the crop!

My son went to Vicki Smith from about 7 months to 2 years old. She has poor listening skills and loves to hear herself talk. The last straw for me was during an annual check up. She told me my son was underweight. I was fraught with worry and made dietary changes and added supplements. Come to find out, the medical assistant didn't get an accurate weight! I was extremely annoyed at this oversight and the stress that followed for weeks. Upon speaking to Vicki about this, she just acted like it was no big deal. My son was always in the high percentiles for height/weight and still is! 8lb 14oz at birth and this year is in 100th percentile for height and 80th percentile for weight. Dr. Vicki Smith is a very good doctor. She’s very thorough and knowledgeable about what needs to be done. We’ve the opportunity to work with her and her staff with my special needs child.
