Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center

My mother fell at home and broke her leg, after her surgery we chose Vernon Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center because of all the positive reviews that we read online. We also took a tour (unscheduled and they were happy to accommodate). The staff is very friendly, the facility is nice and clean and it was so beautifully decorated at Christmas time. The facility feels warm and inviting and the rooms are spacious. So far her stay has been comfortable, her case manager, aides, nurses and therapists are all doing a great job caring for her and with the same goal to get her better and back home. They also keep her entertained by bringing her to the weekly activities like bingo, live music, movie time, crafting (she made a cute snowman for her room and painted a picture of the northern lights

So very pleased with this facility and everyone involved in it. My 93 year old mother was brought here after a week and a half stay at the hospital and it is night and day. Everyone on the staff is kind, caring and knowledgeable. They all take their time with my mom and with us, too. From the APRN to Synamon, Gianna, Red, the activities director (sorry I’m bad with names) to the front desk personnel, we couldn’t have placed my mom in a better place. Thank you to all the staff, our family appreciates you!!!!

My 97 year old Mom fell in her home on Oct 2, 2025. She had surgery on October 4th and on October 7, 2025 with the help of Kristi and Racquel along with the Manchester Hospital Social Worker they made arrangements to transport my Mom to the Rehab wing at Vernon Rehab. Kristi made sure we had a set up so my 24 hour private caregivers could stay in the room round the clock with my Mom. Also being able to have my Mom's all black German Shepherd, Blackie Girl come and visit daily was so appreciated and needed for my Mom. A special shout out to Lori, one of my Mom's aides who was exceptional in her care. Some of her other aides, Andre, KiJana, and Claudette were also so extremely kind and helpful too .I know there were others also along with Nurses that took took wonderful care of my Mo

I feel much more at ease now. I was considering bringing my mom to New Jersey to be closer to me. I changed my mind. I have to share about a wonderful CNA named Chantel. Although she wasn't assigned to care for my mom, she went above and beyond to help us. She spent time playing cards with my mom and even cut out Valentine hearts for her. Chantel is an outstanding employee, and I hope your team continues to hire more compassionate individuals like her!

No return call from the nurse regarding isolation status for my mom and still no answer when visiting. When there I'm also told by the nurse aide that there's a possibility of another infection in which I feel should have appropriate signs for visitors etc....as well as staff. Ironically the staff did wear PPE while e in the room so it's really unclear of the status.
