VCA Highlands Animal Hospital

I went to them as a first time customer to get a second opinion on a medicine that my dog had been started on 2 weeks prior. He was showing symptoms that I thought could be fatal if left untreated and his regular vet had yet to return my phone calls. From the moment I stepped thru the front doors it was a great experience!!! From the front desk clerk, to the tech, to the Dr. My dog, who has severe anxiety was more at ease than I had ever seen him at a vets office (he was still anxious tho) and by the time we left he wasn’t wearing his muzzle. Dr Jay listened to my concerns and offered insight. I asked multiple questions and he never made me feel rushed or time restricted. He even messaged a couple of days later to see how my fur baby was doing and offered insight again!!!! I truly believe

I took my cat to be seen here for an emergency and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I called first thing in the morning and they were able to schedule my cat in a spot within a few hours. They were up front with initial exam fee and were very quick and efficient. The veterinarian was very personable and great with my cat who is unfamiliar with vet offices. She explained treatment process well and I was extremely pleased with the compassionate service and thoroughness she provided. She was also great at explaining treatment options and reviewing prices for each option. I was able to be checked in, seen, and left within 1 hour for my cat’s situation. Would recommend in case of urgent needs for pets.

I’ve taken my animals to VCA for a couple years now and have always had a stellar experience but the real kicker was when our cat came down with a mysterious illness. I really appreciated that VCA tried to treat common illnesses first to rule them out until we moved on to more expensive testing when it was clear she wasn’t getting better. After an uphill battle of getting her to eat again, she started recovering so beautifully. Not only did they diagnose and treat her, but Dr. Graham and Dr. Hendley both treated her with such kindness and affection when she came in and were easily reachable over the phone for questions and updates. Had to bring in my French Bulldog cuz she just wasn't acting right. After I told the story about what was going on Dr. Hadder* (not sure of spelling) checked her over real good found out she hurt her back. Gave her some medicine and she is doing great. They truly care about their patients and are so good with them. She is feeling so much better hard to keep her from playing to much for the 10 days

Amazing experience! Every member of staff is friendly and attentive. They recognize that your fur babies are members of your family and they treat each one with love, patience, and care. The facilities are very clean and spacious and inviting. I drive over an hour to go to this vet they are that awesome!
