If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Please, if you care anything about the person being admitted, please, please, please, don't choose this place. It's unsanitary, it's suffocating, mold and mildew is growing around air vents and water sources, there's human waste on the floors and the bathrooms are plastered in it, they leave medication carts and used medical waste out in the open on carts, the phone rings and rings and nobody answers, and if someone does pick up, the staff hangs up on you. We were told patients are supposed to have room phones, but no phone was given so you're forced to call the main number and then you get the run around. It's truly horrifying, and it should be reported and closed down. It's horrific. The smell, the feel, the care, all of it. After onl

I never write a bad review, but I literally just set up a google account for this purpose. It definitely is not a place to put your loved one in. Our mother was there for only 1 and a 1/2 months and deteriorated drastically before we decided that my sister would take her in. She was very competent, when she went in, but has recently been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and dementia, she forgets day to day, but remembers the past. She's able to dress herself, eat and verbalize. I found her one day because my mom would call me everyday and I haven't heard from her in a couple of days, so I went there. I went in my mom's room with the head nurse Suzanna and we found her completely naked, (with only a pull-up on which she has NEVER wore before) and slurring her words.They even tried to cover it up

My mother spent 7 weeks at Wakefield Center, and received excellent, compassionate care throughout her time. In her final week, hospice services from Compassionate Care complemented the on-site staff's care. In our experience, the nursing staff was both competent and extremely caring. Unlike some facilities, you will not be overwhelmed with foul odors upon entering; it's clean and updated. I am grateful for the care they gave my mother during the final stage of her life and would definitely recommend the facility.

I would like to thank the entire staff at Wakefield Center for their professionalism and compassion. They accepted my cousin into the rehab unit when no other nursing facility within the entire north shore area would. In the face of the Covid pandemic, these people actually put their life on the line to care for our sick and our elderly. It is not an easy job but the people who work at Wakefield Center genuinely care for their patients. And for their kindness and dedication, I commend them all!

The care of the staff at Wakefield Center has been great...I can't say enough about this team. I haven't met anyone that hasn't exuded kindness and care with their expertise. The director of admissions, the social workers, the recreation team, the nurses and CNA's, the facilities team, the kitchen staff.....Thank you for all you do everyday to care for our loved ones. While the facility is old; outdated and in need of repairs....they do their best to maintain what they have given the fact that the last 18 months during the pandemic made it challenging to keep up with repairs with limitations on who could enter the facility. They were operating in a war zone....and now working on recovering with grace. Thanks to the entire staff for helping our loved ones feel cared for, loved, supported a
