Active Motion Physical Therapy

I can’t say enough amazing things about Active Motion Physical Therapy. I came home from a beautiful trip to Bali with a fractured humerus and rotator cuff damage, and began PT about three weeks after my injury. From the very start, Tom was phenomenal. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable and thorough in his explanations, but his energy and personality made every session enjoyable. He truly knows how to educate, motivate, and make the process fun and within just two months, I felt like myself again. The entire staff and environment at Active Motion are such a joy to be around. My treatment with Kelly has been 100% positive and helpful. The therapists here have all received their degrees from Mass General Hospital Institute of Health Professions, a top tier medical school. Every PT is focused on the patient they are working with (not chit-chatting amongst themselves, which I have seen at other places). You always work with the same PT, and not an aide. My PT, Kelly, is interested in all aspects affecting my health and uses the tools of physical therapy to help me gain better all around wellbeing.

Active Motion is a great location for PT. I worked with Tom for several months on very bad Achilles pain. He worked with all of my mechanics to improve my foot pain as well as worked appropriately on the exercises to fit me, being pregnant. He was wonderful to work with and was able to get back to playing tennis, which was a big deal for me. I would highly recommend Tom and the whole practice for any PT needs.

I worked with Maggie for over three months to address foot pain. She consistently explained the purpose of exercises and progressed me at the appropriate pace. Maggie was able to explain the structure of the body in a way that made clear how different joints and muscles were connected, and how pain can manifest in different ways. Maggie was a pleasure to work with and I would highly recommend her and the practice to anyone needing physical therapy.
