Vanderbilt Health Clinic at Walgreens Hermitage

If I could give this place a 0 I would. My family visited this location and was met with a racist white nurse/ma. She yelled at my uncle after she made him wait for 15 minutes and then told him she was going on lunch. Very unprofessional. When he came back to get a test done for his son the doctor had to help instead of her. My uncle asked for her name and they would not give it. She was very racist and discriminative and took advantage of him not speaking strong English. They treat people very poorly at this clinic. It’s disgusting that Vanderbilt holds such a high name and hires little minded people with 0 to no people skills. Vanderbilt standards of patient care have gone down dramatically over the years. Tip: schedule an appointment using the Vanderbilt Health app. -I walked in to get flu tested at 5:30 - prime time for people getting off work and picking up kids. -I waited until 6:00 to be seen. That is Not a long time at a walk-in clinic; I’ve had to wait hours at other clinics. It is what it is. -I explained that I needed a flu test so that I could be cleared to return to work. The staff listened to me, tested me and did the standard exam. -When it was time for my prescription, the nurse practitioner explained the difference in my options: pricing and side effects. -Then we talked about the practical side of this: how to parent and not get my kids sick. -This is top-quality care. Avoid at all cost. over $800 for a covid test. They will lie to you of the cost at arrival and claim you are paid in full and send the bill doubling it after. Help line, billing and clinic will say they don't know anything of the bill while wanting you to pay it. This is a walk-in meant to prey on people and not help them. Avoid anything Vanderbilt to be safe.

I checked in at 12:15pm and one of the nurses called me over to get my information since I had not been there before. I sat down and she came over after a few minutes to ask is I had the flu or a cold, which I did not. An hour goes by and everyone has been helped that was in front of me and I'm the only person waiting to be helped. She leaves to go on lunch which is understandable. It's that time and if they don't take it even if people are waiting, they will never get one. I'm not upset with this. She passes me as she leaves, and an hour later when she returns from lunch. Other people begin to show up and sign in. I figure I wouldn't be waiting much longer, until I see them call someone else up for the doctor. I went to the clinic here to be seen and the woman at the front said we don't take your insurance you can go somewhere else. I said that's fine I'll do self pay she told me we can't take you if we don't accept your insurance, when it clearly states they do self pay. She told me to go somewhere else. I am beyond upset and disappointed. I've come here for years and my children but this is the last time I go to this clinic for anything.
