Valley Health Urgent Care - Front Royal

This was very first visit to the center for me and my husband. We went in yesterday morning due to flu like symptoms. The front desk, Maryanne, was kind, friendly and checked us in together very efficiently. The nurse, Michelle was also very friendly and made us feel comfortable. The NP, Timothy George was attentive to our needs and worked very efficiently until he released us. My husband and I were very impressed with the team. We would definitely come back here again.

ALERT – WARNING These people are scammers. I experienced this myself. I was initially charged $150, which I paid. I was only seen by a nurse. My issue was very simple and did not require a doctor at all. Later, the billing department contacted me and demanded an additional $184, claiming there were extra charges. I clearly explained that no additional services were provided and no extra work was done, but they continued insisting that I must pay this amount.

If customer service was a problem, this clinic is clearly making a real effort to improve. This was my first time here, and it was worth it. I went despite the endless list of complaints on Google reviews. I stayed even though they were very busy. My expectations were low since urgent care is something to be used until my usual physician is available. All in all, I walked away very impressed with the level of care I received.

After having my diagnosis explained by the "doctor", she forgot to enter an order for one of the medications that I was prescribed. I had to remind her to do that before I was discharged. She then entered an x-ray request for the incorrect body part. I had to correct her prior to discharge. Finally, when I went to Warren Memorial Hospital for the x-ray (because the x-ray machine at Urgent care was not operational) I was advised that the order was not submitted. The registration clerk at WMH was helpful, and even called urgent care, only to be told that the request had been canceled because "it expired" (less than 2 weeks after it was submitted). The person at urgent care then told me to go to the emergency room if I was still suffering from pain. Who's running this show?

They where fine. They couldn't take care of my issue there. Not a lot to tell. Slipped in the Loves shower and busted my scalp open. Was told by the lady up front that I would have to go to a regular urgent care.
