Valley Health Transition Center

The doctor was great. Ice everywheres. No good signage to guide me to the back of the building due to the ice when GPS drops you off front- i fell down! Staff were courteous. Lab techs messed up my 1st test then rushed through my 2nd tests (5 minutes each time instead of the proper 15 minutes), which, I believe, resulted in "negatives". Doctor said she was going to extend my steroids, but did not. Instead, gave me an expensive ADVAIR and prescription cough medicine, knowing I was taking several over the counter cough syrup already, as well as, a rescue inhaler. I ended up rushing myself to a hospital several days later where their doctor diagnosed me with "Sinusitis" and "RSV", stating that it was going around!

There are not enough positive things to say. The entire office is polite and caring. Dr. Munsey is absolutely wonderful. She listens and takes her time explaining everything. Darlene is so sweet and informative. All the nurses are very caring. Again, not enough positive things to say. I could go on.

Awful. Just absolutely terrible. I was referred here as a middle-man while I'm between primary physicians due to long wait periods for new patients. Anyway, I'm in liver failure, and I wish I'd never come here. Medication refill requests take 2 weeks, almost every single time. I asked for a new physician, and Sue, the one I'd been seeing, called me personally to ask when my appointment with the new physician was, and kept me on her patient list. I'm now on week 2 of waiting for medications that prevent me from bleeding out into my stomach, but Sue doesn't care. Sue does Sue, not you.

Dr Munsey was so wonderful today in helping us! After a disappointing hospital stay. She was a light of kindness and understanding. She listened and got us all we needed to get through until we can see the specialist. Her office helped get us booked with appointments so quickly and efficiently. Bravo for excellence in care!

I made a doctors appointment with a Valley Health family doctor. We’ve been having trouble finding a family doctor for two years now since moving here to Winchester. I was sent to this transition clinic because the doctors office was backed up almost five months, and I take blood pressure meds. They were rude, snarky, and months later they billed me $460.00 for a blood pressure check and weight. I have insurance, good insurance, and this place was on their list. $460.00 for a blood pressure check after running my insurance? NO. Not right. Square one looking for a doctor in this town. Never went to the one that sent me here I cancelled. Valley Health seems totally inconsistent. And I am not paying $460.00 for a ten minute visit.
