As the old saying goes..."it doesn't get any better than this". And that's being honest. Dr. Simmers is as down to earth as you'll meet, knowledgeable, experienced, and makes you feel like your "neighbors". I wouldn't go anywhere else.

I've always loved Dr Simmers practice, but I attempted to make an appointment for a routine eye exam in the new year (2026) and was told they are booked up until FEBRUARY 2027! I've been a patient with Dr Simmers for 30 years and never experienced anything like this. I understand the Dr is splitting his time between two practices in two counties, but if doing so is spreading his services so thin that it's becoming detrimental to his current patients' needs, it may be time to rethink this work practice or hire an extra optometrist or two to help with the patient load.

I have been a patient of Dr. Simmers since he started his practice. He is always professional and caring. I’ve never had any issue with my eyes that he hasn’t guided me through and worked to correct. Great doctor!
