I appreciated having the opportunity to meet you and your nurse before surgery. Your calming bedside manner had a huge impact on me. I felt prepared and completely safe in your hands. Thank you for taking the time to go over the procedure step-by-step. It was very helpful to know exactly what was going to happen.

Overpriced and unwilling to work with patients in regards to billing. Valiant charged my insurance $2135 for a 5 minute procedure, of which the adjusted patient responsibility from Baylor Scott & White was still unreasonable. The first girl on the phone in billing department sounded annoyed I even had questions about my bill in the first place, the manager I escalated the call to, just spouted off typical insurance obligation jargon and made it clear she was not there to help me in any way, and instead reassured me the bill would go to collections if I chose not to pay. They refused to negotiate the bill, because it had already been filed through insurance, even though insurance paid $0, because insurance plans are all catastrophic garbage plans with insanely high deductibles nowadays. Tremendous experiences with Dr Daniel Kim. Over the past 5 months I’ve had two total knee replacements and an MUA. Dr Kim ran “point” for the anesthesia for all three procedures. He’s awesome! Great attention to details, confident communicator and committed to your success.

Dr. Merritt was so great! He texted the night before and answered my questions. He came in room early to answer any more questions and review what he would be doing. Before leaving he asked our permission to say a prayer and it was so nice!

I had THE best team who took stellar care of me. I am grateful they listened to my needs, and acted on them immediately. I was not just another number in line. I was cared for as a human being and as someone’s loved one. Undergoing surgery is difficult, and I’m glad I was in very capable and caring hands. Thank you!!
