I saw Dr. Hartman today for the purpose of assessing possible dementia I thought I was experiencing. Before I ever saw her, we had a few communications by text. I could easily tell that she was a kind, caring professional who had the rare ability to administer so many neurological tests. Upon first meeting her today, she took the time to ask me about my social history. She included my partner in these discussions as well. After an hour or so, Dr Hartman escorted me to another room for approximately 4 hours of testing. Although this was a significant amount of time, she was very upfront in telling me what to expect. Dr. Hartman is one word.....AMAZING! She is very personable! I've never had a problem getting in touch with her. She doesn't have anyone working for her so she schedules her own appointments. I feel like I've known her my entire life! Pay no attention to those low reviews...give her a try for yourself and make up your own mind. She doesn't rush you, she listens to every word and gives you her honest opinion! I schedule my next appointment before I leave because I realize she's a very busy woman.

tl:dr - we’ve been waiting 3 months for a report she claimed would be sent to us in a week. My kiddo had an evaluation with her mid November last year. Even though she said one week for the report to be sent I didn’t worry about it much for the first month because she’s a small office and I understand things get busy. I have since tried contacting her 6 times in the last 2 months and received only one text a month ago claiming she’d already sent the report but would send another copy. Neither I nor our pediatrician’s office has received the report as of yet. We have been waiting 3 months for the diagnosis report so that we can pursue treatment options.

When I first met Dr Hartman I was intimidated by her. She was all business during the testing and there was nothing personal discussed until later. But when I came in to consult with her regarding the results, she was able to help me understand what was affecting me most and what would probably not affect me forever. I'm grateful to her for helping me sort out some issues and giving me advice for healing. She was still extremely professional, but it was time to discuss personal issues in order to suss out exactly what are the biggest issues I'm dealing with currently.

Dr. Hartman is patient, she is kind & she listens. I was hesitant about getting an ADHD test at my age, but she gave me comfort in knowing there is no shame in it. It's just how my brain is wired. She went above & beyond for me & I'm thankful. I absolutely recommend her.
