VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System

This is one of the most beautiful and well serving VAs in the country! Integrating from out of state was nearly seamless. This hospital works A LOT with community care, which is good for some and not for others. Overall, this facility has great service, connects you to resources in the area, and their chow hall is amazing!

It was a busy day yesterday! I went to support my friend for her doctors appointment. While waiting, I walked around to check out the hospital. The hospital is huge! Any and everything you need as a veteran is there! The place covered all bases! And the hospital was very well maintained! Great job!👍🏾👍🏾

The run around is unfortunate, our Veterans deserve better care and respect. For some, it takes an act of congress to get them there and for them to be laughed at, is a disgrace. VA: Do better, be better. Not okay, you are messing with those surviving and trying not to be part of the 22 a day, dont push them.

I am a retired Vietnam Combat Veteran. I was in Vietnam for two tours. I use the VA Medical Center in North Las Vegas for all my health care needs. Yesterday, I found an outstanding Doctor, David Mietzner, D.O. I was extremely impressed by this Doctor’s knowledge of the eyes and the problem I am having with my vision. Dr. Mietzner was without a doubt a professional who has many years of knowledge and expertise in his field. I am very hopeful he can keep me from severe vision loss!

Worst VA Experience of My Life as a 100% Disabled Veteran. As a 100% disabled veteran, this has been the worst healthcare experience I’ve ever had. My primary care appointment—booked months in advance—was canceled without anyone telling me, leaving me with no provider and no medication. There are zero ride assistance options in Las Vegas, and with the hospital 40 minutes away, I can’t even get to my 10 a.m. dental appointment. On top of that, the VA still had me listed in another state despite updating my information. I feel completely lost in the system, ignored, and left with no care or support. This experience has pushed me to consider leaving the VA entirely. Deeply disappointed.
