UT Southwestern Medical Center: Dermatology

Scheduled an appointment and someone called about a billing estimate. They spoke so fast I couldn't really understand the name or number and calling the number they called from led to just being cut off. Tried to call the front desk and they told me it was over 400 dollars for my appointment to just meet with the doctor. And this is with insurance. I tried to inquire further but no-one knew anything and wouldn't connect me to the finance office. Everyone I spoke to had attitude and were very rude. I told them I couldn't afford it and to cancel my appointment. The next day they were calling me about my appointment so I had to speak to 2 more people to get it canceled. Well I hope it's actually canceled. I recommend not going here.

The doctors here are all awesome and I didn’t wait much at all to be taken to a room and then the doctor came in right away so everything went very smoothly. I also made a follow up appointment.

The worst service ever i was willing to pay cash $600 !!!! For a consultation which is pretty expensive but they said they dont have availability they’re booked for few months !!! Obviously They pick and choose their patients and wont help you when uou need help . Dont waste your time and money there

I have great trust in UT Southwestern physicians, as many of my children’s doctors are affiliated with their network. Naturally, when I needed to consult with a dermatology specialist, I reached out to their office. Unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. As a self-pay patient, I inquired about the cost of an initial consultation, and the response I received was vague and unhelpful. I was told the price “could be up to $400,” but when I asked for confirmation or clarification, the representative admitted that she had simply been instructed to give that response without further detail. Terrible and incompetent department. All my physicians are at UTSW and this was the first time going to dermatology. Very costly mistakes by their staff that I’m still physically dealing with due to their negligence & lack of proper follow up and communication. I would highly advise against this group.
