This hospital is far and away the best we have ever experienced. We dealt with the Urology department (special thanks to Dr Pearle, Dr Van Dyke, and Dr Seaman). Everything is centered on the patient, and everyone from the receptionist to the nurses to the doctors to the transport staff is top notch. 10/10! Highly recommend!

UT Southwestern Otolaryngology Around Tuesday of last week, I experienced a sudden issue with my hearing, including ringing and muffled sound in my left ear. It was extremely concerning and stressful. This office went above and beyond to fit me in and get me seen immediately. My primary care physician made it very difficult to get the referral processed, but this office stuck by me and made sure I was able to be seen despite the obstacles. When I arrived, I was greeted by very kind and professional front desk staff. They were clearly busy, yet they still took the time to help me almost immediately. Huge shout out to them. They were incredibly sweet and welcoming. I was seen by the audiologist in less than 15 minutes. She was thorough, patient, and explained each part of the hearing test

Taking patients to the curb after coercion to sign discharge papers and a release of liability is not “compassionate.” It is irresponsible, inhumane and defies all aspects of decency. Patients are there for treatment and or surgery — in my husband’s case, open heart surgery. He was discharged and left on the curb without even a call to me from a nurse or staff member to tell me when or where to pick him up. This is shameful and wreck-less. You can’t have sick patients sign documents when they are on medication and not of sound body or mind and think this is a legal agreement. It will not hold up in a court of law. What is the point of your “cutting edge technology” when you leave patients to fend for themselves on a curb. You aren’t running a hotel. It is a hospital.

Dr. Ghebermicael will end up killing someone with his negligence, bias, and ego. My care at UTSW prior to Dr. Ghebermicael being put on my service was solid. I particularly felt like Dr. Byrd was top notch. The majority of the nurses were also great. Dr. Rafferty (Psychiatry) was compassionate and well-informed. This is why the review is 2 stars and not 1. As soon as Dr. Ghebermicael took over as my hospitalist, he decided to spin a narrative that my physiological symptoms were psychological. He documented anxiety when anxiety was not endorsed and not present. This led to a series of events (which constitute actual medical malpractice - performance of a procedure that differed from the one I consented to and that resulted in hours of unnecessary distress) that ultimately culminated in my b

every time I come here I have been treated very well and shown compassion. the ER has taken care of me when I wasn't feeling my best. I didn’t catch everyone’s name but they deserve to be mentioned because of the quality care they provide. The only one I did remember by name is Dr. Nelson who I should have listened too and stayed. Amazing Hospital with Amazing people who care and have great work ethic.
