Urgent Care/Primary Care Bay Ridge Family Health

I had such a great experience with (Irina) Dr. Mezore. She was so incredibly kind when I was really bad moment with a virus, pink eye and some sort of infection. She was so caring and empathetic, great bedside manner! Especially when I voiced concern over an allergy to antibiotics. She patiently listened and told me to come back if I needed anything. I had just lost my health insurance so I had to pay out of pocket, but it was still affordable to be seen. Very happy to have this down the street. I wish she could be my General Practitioner! Front desk was really nice and attentive too!

This place is a scam. The other review should have been warning sign enough and their response to the last person,, which is inaccurate, says it all. They claim despite having insurance with a set copay of 25$ that they won’t accept it without my deductible being filled? This is not how urgent cares operate so I called my insurance company who insisted on speaking to the front desk. After only 5 minutes they requested to speak to me and told me this place despite being in network is not obliging by the contract they signed and are being formally reported for fraud. It’s quite disappointing because of how convenient the location is, but 3 blocks down the road another urgent care had zero issue processing me despite having the “same coverage”. I came here to be seen for a UTI. Because I had read positive reviews on google, I had high expectations for this office. Upon arriving I was asked for my insurance card and shortly after told that "because I had not met my deductible" I was going to have to pay $100. This was surprising to me because I had been to other urgent cares several times this year and only paid my copay of $25, this price is even listed on my insurance card. I explained this to the woman at the front desk and she told me that she didn't know why other places had charged me that and insisted that because my deductible had not been met I would have to pay $100 to be seen. Needless to say I went to a different urgent care (that was much more out of my way) and this place effectively charged me my regular copay of $2

We were truly positively surprised by this gem in Bay Ridge. Dr. Irisa is fantastic medical doctor and human being. She is kind and polite, and actually dedicates time to hear you out and give you calm advice. I never had such a wonderful experience visiting any medical doctor or clinics in NYC, so she is true angel. Kristina, the Clinic’s assistant is also very warm, patient to serve your needs and help you out with your queries. Warmly recommended!

I’ve been to many such urgent care centers all over the city and especially in the Bayridge area, and I can tell you that my experience here has been *far* and away the BEST of any of them! Seen promptly, front desk staff are friendly and attentive, and Dr. Irisa in particular has been just absolutely phenomenal both times I’ve seen her so far, knowledgeable and patient, with wonderful expertise and advise that goes well beyond the bare minimum which one often comes to expect with such things - not to mention a great bedside manner, to boot! All in all an absolutely wonderful place that I feel quite grateful to know is now here in the neighborhood, so close to my apartment! And frankly, I for one could read all of the papers just fine ; )
