Showed up for my appointment a little late, (5 mins) I called ahead to let them know that I was going to be a bit late due to train delays and they were understanding. It took 35 mins of waiting in the lobby before I got taken back to have my vitals done. I then sat in the examination room for an hour, where no one came in to tell me how long I’d be waiting. After waiting for an hour I stuck my head out of the examination room and let one of the nurses know I had been sitting in there for an hour. About 2 minutes later the doctor finally came in. My appointment lasted for two hours, i was spoken to and taken care of for probably a total of 30 mins. This was a follow up appointment that I was called and asked to book, none of the professionals I spoke to knew what the follow up was for. Th
Dr. P is truly amazing and I appreciate the care she provides. However, my experience with the front desk was disappointing. I checked in around 11:12 a.m. and was left sitting in the room until 1:26 p.m. before the doctor was even directed to see me. Meanwhile, patients who arrived after me were seen first due to how the front desk handled check-ins. I just feel there needs to be better structure and organization to prevent this from happening again.
I am so bewildered by what transpired here at my visit. I booked a 4:30 appointment for an annual exam, and to get my antidepressant Rx renewed. Should be easy enough. Here is a non-comprehensive list of things that occurred: -I saw the doctor at 6:30 after showing up at my 4:30 appointment. After inquiring, I was met with an apology (appreciated) and a snarky comment (not appreciated): "We have other patients too." Well yes, I understand this, but are you an urgent care or a primary care office? Because you're running it like an urgent care; and that's totally cool; just don't take appointments if you aren't going to honor them. -The person who was going to draw my blood did not know what a vasovagal response was. This was concerning given they are supposed to be a trained medical profess
I felt very well taken care of and I saw every other patient treated with respect and kindness as well. The staff made everything straightforward for me and nothing felt complicated or like anyone was trying to hide something from me. Dr. P was a delight, attentive and adamant but had a very calming and enjoyable manner. I hate to get sick but I’d love to come back.
I really loved my nurse at this location, as she was thorough in her examination, and treated me like a human, which I think is hard to find at urgent cares in the city. However, my brief time spent with Dr. Vixama was unhelpful and unprofessional, and. honestly, a bit immature. She did not really provide any medical advice, except to not go to any of the hospitals in the Brooklyn area, but to go to an ER as soon as possible. She stated that urgent cares are meant to be a "bandaid" for minor issues, and that they really couldn't help me. She then proceeded to say that I should go to a reputable hospital, of which none were in Brooklyn. She also asked me what my pain level was on a scale of 1 to 10, to which I said probably 6 or 7. She then proceeded to say that if her kids heard me say tha
