Urgent Care for Kids | McKinney

So glad we found this urgent care. My son split his chin on Friday and this was the quickest care we could have received. I booked the apt online, got there checked in and was admitted within 10 minutes. The nurse Bre was fabulous and comforting for a very scared 7 year old freaked out about stitches. Doc was great. We came back 7 days later to remove the stitches… free of charge 🙌🏼 I hope I won’t need to, but will return for future needs.

I am so glad I found this place. It is so hard to find somewhere that accepts my insurance, and they do. Not only is it an urgent care, but they are also starting pediatric primary care, which I am so thankful for. The doctor was very kind and extremely helpful. They made sure that if anything changed, we would not have to come back the next day for something minor. I truly appreciated that level of care and consideration. We will definitely be coming back. I have found my son’s new PCP.

I had a great experience here. The staff was welcoming and the wait time was very reasonable. The doctor was very attentive and made me feel comfortable while explaining my treatment. The clinic was very clean and well organized. I truly appreciate the care I received.

Like most people reviewing, the wait time is forever. We were there for over 2 hours between being the in waiting room and waiting in an exam room. But my real issue is by the questionable course of action and decision-making by the Dr we saw. Went in because my daughter had a fever. They didn’t even take her temperature themselves….they gave her a breathing treatment and tested for RSV only. That came back negative, but Dr insisted it was RSV and told us to take her to the emergency room. We go….it ends up being strep. Even the nurses and drs at the ER were confused by why the urgent care was so quick to send us to the ER after doing so little for ‘process of elimination’.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great experience with our child. The medical assistants were kind, patient, and made everything easy for our kid (wish I remembered their names). Dr. James was fantastic, thorough, caring, and took the time to answer all of our questions without rushing. Highly recommend this urgent care for kids.
