UR Medicine Urgent Care – Hornell

Each time I visit the Hornell UR Urgent Care, the front recepionist is not engaged with anyone but I am asked to write my name down on the clipboard and have a seat. This last visit I wrote down first name and last intial and sat down and waited. 5 other people came in and were immediately assisted in order while they all waited in line, which has barely any space to stand so people were out into the hallway even. No one was told to write down there name and have a seat. After 40 minutes sitting I went to look at the TV to see if my name was listed and the initials were on the TV so I calmly sat back down. As I went back to my seat a person in line said "Someone isn't happy" and the receptionist responded "They never are". I did not interact with anyone, just checked out the TV listing of

I was charged $150 for a simple visit even though I have premium health insurance. My husband paid $40 in April of 2025. Once I questioned this, one of their staff said they changed it to hospital-based urgent Care in October of 2025 but one review here on Google says they moved 9 months ago. Their stories clearly dont match. Also, they never let us know about this change. These people are liars trying to rip off money. Do not recommend.

Had 4 kids with hand foot and mouth. 3 with sores and 1 with viral symptoms. 1 had been reinfected after recovery. Saw within minutes. Quick in and out reassurance we are handling hand foot and mouth. Gave good advice to cover the open sores my toddler scratched with a bandaid and using anti itch medications like Zyrtec for a time to reduce the misery of the illness. He was a great NP.

Brought my daughter in with a fever that had no other symptoms. Staff listened to my concerns and we were seen pretty quickly. Wait time was about 15 minutes overall. We were seen, examined, tested, treated and discharged in an hours time. They even provided the first dosage of antibiotics on scene since our pharmacy was already closed for the day so we were treated before leaving. That to me is amazing care. Thank you!!

So her is my one star review. If no stars could be chosen I would have chosen that. My uncle was seen here where he was peeing blood and was told that's NORMAL and to follow up with primary. My uncle knew something was wrong so his kids took him to dansville where they find out hes in kidney failure and now is on dyalisis..They could have killed him. Wont be attending there eaither
