UPMC Walk-In Orthopaedic Injury Clinic at Arlington Orthopedics-UPMC

I went to this clinic because I was having issues with my right knee. I was pretty sure it was arthritis but I wanted to rule out I had not torn anything because I am a runner and do HIIT type workouts. From the time I walked in the door everyone I saw was very friendly. From the greeter, the admit receptionist, the X-ray technician and Abbie who did my assessment. I saw Dr. Holzshu. He was a real sweetheart. He had a great bedside manner and he explained my condition thoroughly. As I suspected, it was a mild form of arthritis. He did a thorough exam and gave me an injection and answered all my questions. I was really happy I don’t have to give up running something I really enjoy. It is my opinion that if you don't have a broken bone or are severely inflamed somewhere they have no intention of doing the imaging necessary to find your problem. You can walk in with excruciating pain and they have no intention of doing anything other than an x-ray. Furthermore they have only one orthopedic surgeon in the entire network so good luck getting an appointment. This is an orthopedic clinic but they do not do ultrasound imaging so just know that before you go in there that they have no way of diagnosing your condition if it's not broken.

I wasted an hour on the phone just to have the receptionist put me back on hold after I was re-directed to the call center! First impression is not good.

I went to the walk-in clinic because I was having pain in my foot and my two toes had no flexibility from a previous injury. I don't recommend Robert E. Holzshu, he was very quick with his responses. He basically said there was no pain and recommended that I wear wide toe box shoes and said have a good day.

I only write two reviews top notch ones that deserve it or Terrible ones.... this hands down is a top notch one. My 5 year old non verbal autistic son broke something in his foot. He needed a cast. He had the pleasure of seeing Russell and Kyra for that process. They were very kind, patient and understanding and did their absolute best with the situation. We have had some pretty traumatizing experiences elsewhere in the past. But this was a A+visit in our book! Thank you so much!
