Weis Pharmacy

Never have I EVER had as many issues with a pharmacy, total incompetence there! Rarely are any of our prescriptions ready, DAYS after Drs electronically OR BY PHONE put prescription orders in, not acceptable whatsoever. Funny thing is, last time we were there a gentleman left the window after not getting his heart meds once again, 2 weeks after the Dr put the script in, he walked past me and said "good luck here" and told me his story of his heart meds! Yeah, time to get a new pharmacy!

Today 7/10/25 was my first and last visit to this pharmacy on Linglestown Road. I had an RX transfered from a closing Riteaid which needed to be refilled. The RX was for a 90 day supply of a critical med I need in order to continue living. I arrive and am given a 30 day supply with an explanation that my insurance carrier will not cover the 90 day RX my Dr. prescribed. The tech and pharmacist recommended I call my insurance provider to inquire as to why which I of course did. An agent for my provider ran my RX and it went through my insurance without issue. She then called Weis pharmacy to assist in getting things worked out and was put on hold for quite a long time. During this drawn out time I drove back to the pharmacy with the insurance agent still on the phone. The tech and pharmacist

Very friendly staff and very helpful. This pharmacy is not as good as they used to be. They are understaffed, and they have a new girl working there that gives the customers an attitude just for trying to get their prescriptions. I did give them 5 stars, but like I said, that was then, and now they only get 3. Some of the workers are still great, but they are understaffed.

The pharmacists are great! There is personal service, they care, they go out of their way for you and you don’t wait longer than a few mins for prescriptions. I hope it never changes! Update in July 2024 (6 years after above review): The pharmacists are still great. In all the years I’ve been going there was only one pharmacist that left (a few months ago) and he was amazing, but his replacement seems to be just as conscientious and caring as his predecessor. The amount and quality of techs has been upgraded and service is still outstanding. Still 5 stars!

This pharmacy is out of my medicine every month even though I get monthly refills so many time I have to wait until after my refill date to get my medication even if I submit the refill early. There just always seems to be a problem every month when I need to get my refill. When they tell me my medication will be filled on a specific day, I intend on getting my medication that day. Not 2-3 days after.
