UPMC Primary Care Good Hope

This is not my first time to visit this office for seeing my PCP. Her performance is consistently at poor professional level. Especially for todays visit. It made me feel so sorry to the patients who had been treated in this office. As I have basic medical knowledge, I feel like I have to guide her and correct her multiple times during the visit. It is hard to imagine to the people without any knowledge, just pure trust to come in for your health issues, how would you fully trust this place to treat you faithfully.

All of the doctors and staff are very kind. The doctors are very thorough and care about you as an individual. Appointments are very easy to get. I especially love Dr. Griffith and Dr. Le-Rathell.

I was 1 min outside of my 10min grace period to arrive, i called the main number they said to go in, i got in and the doctor refused to see me! I was then sent a letter that if i missed another appt, id be dismissed from the practice. I got blood work done, was told "no diabetes", about 6-9 months later was told from that result, if i dont watch what im eating im going to be diabetic! I have felt more and more the doctor is giving up, like they just dont care! Im floored! I come to a doctor bc i trust them to keep me healthy, not to llay games like this! My health is not a joke, and should not he treated as such! I have had staff give me a horrible attitude, the manager was to return my call and never did. Been here 3 hours only had blood drawn. Told them I wanted the needle taken out of my arm because it hurts and they said no because they want to put medication in it but still have yet to call me back to put said medication in there. Mind you still in the waiting room and its been the same 6 people in here sitting waiting with me. Wouldnt reccommend and wont be back here, your better off going to harrisburg hospital. They have also lost track of three other people since I have been here.

I went in for a routine annual physical exam, expecting preventive care as covered by insurance. However, I was surprised to receive an unexpected charge afterward because I briefly discussed a health concern with the doctor, something that naturally comes up during any exam. When I followed up, I spoke with multiple staff members including the office manager, who was unfortunately unprofessional and dismissive. I tried to resolve the issue respectfully, but the experience left me deeply disappointed. This visit made it clear why this facility is rated 2.7 stars. I've since switched providers and do not recommend this practice to others looking for respectful, transparent, and patient-centered care.
