1 star is not even worth it for this pathetic excuse for a Neurology Office. First of all, their receptionists, one in particular who refused to give her name, are absolutely the rudest people I’ve ever met and I am very polite upon approach. I was 5 minutes .. FIVE minutes late to my appointment because of unforeseen construction and I called the give them a heads up regarding it and the receptionist told me that if my appointment said 9am, I needed to be there at that time. I’ve seen plenty of doctors in my lifetime and all have allowed at least a 15 minute window for those cases. Not here apparently, or maybe the woman on the phone is just a miserable person. She told me I can come to the office and sit and wait for a POSSIBLE cancellation or just go home. Mind you, it took months to ge
I am writing this message to express my total dissatisfaction with the Neurology dept in Williamsport. I have been trying to contact the nursing staff to follow up my visit from December 2024. I have called several times and have not received a return call. Total disrespect from a so called professional staff. I have cancelled my upcoming appt in June. Their disregard for me as a patient is staggering. I have had great care from the other doctors in UPMC, Neurology is not one of them, My advise, AVOID the Neurology dept at UPMC, Williamsport.
Despite a prior opinion from another doctor that surgery was recommended, evidence of prior conservative treatment, MRI evidence, and peer reviewed medical journal evidence, this practice still wants conservative treatment that is highly unlikely to be successful. It appears that there is some age based bias in decision making, as during counseling age was frequently mentioned despite objections. If you are reasonably certain that surgery is the only option and you have tried conservative treatment that has failed, avoid this practice, especially if you are of working age and need to return to work to support your family. That being said, if you are trying to avoid surgery and want a second opinion, choose this practice. Rest assured, they will make every effort possible to avoid surgery.
An absolute joke. Not only will they not initially believe you had a stroke, they will never work to find the cause, and they will refuse to refill your migraine medicine that THEY put you on for years…opting to put you on a drug “good enough for Gaga” during a flare up of your migraines. Leaving you waiting for a prior authorization for two weeks only to be denied just in time for a long Holiday. Will they call you to speak with you, check in, make a new plan? Nope. That certainly sounds like the opposite of “Do no harm”.
If I could give Dr. Wang a zero, I would. I have never had such a absolute rude and uneducated doctor. I don’t know how she has made it this far in her career and has apparently over 20 years of experience? The woman not only admitted to not reading the information from the doctors that sent me there, she scheduled me for the complete wrong surgery… and I only found out a few days before I was supposed to finally go. She then proceeded to not be able to give me reasoning, and then on top of it told me to go to PT. Which honestly if she read my chart, like any doctor should, she would know that I cannot go to PT and that is exactly why I’m there trying to figure out what’s going on. I don’t understand how a neurologist would blindly schedule someone for a surgery and not even have read thei
