UPMC Grandview Rheumatology

My PCP referred me to this office after running labs, looking at my blood levels and telling me I need to see a rheumatologist. The referral was sent over and when I called to schedule an appointment, they told me I couldn't because the doctors would need to review my labs in order to see if I'm eligible for care at this office. When I asked how long that would take, the only answer I received was, "I don't know." When I asked what the next steps are, the response was just, "Well, our doctors need to look at your chart before you can schedule." It was a round and round conversation that left me with no answers and no path forward. Highly recommend. I saw Ashley and she could not have been better! She was thorough, listened to everything I had to say, and was very helpful in giving me answers/treatment for the future. The entire staff was very kind and professional that I came in contact with as well.

I was scheduled with this practice several months in advance. They called a week and a half before to let me know that my provider would be on vacation now and offered me two other appointments with three days notice. When I could not make either, they told me I would have to wait another two months to be seen. I ended up just getting a referral elsewhere. When I called to cancel, I was on hold for sixteen minutes. Hopefully I can get more reliable care with the other practice.

I have been seeing Dr. Phillips and the only thing that I am sorry about is that she is retiring 😔 I have only had good experiences at this office.
