UPMC Children's Community Pediatrics – York

I love this office! Everyone is always so friendly and professional. Every single doctor at this office is absolutely amazing! My entire family was seen by Dr. Ventura our entire lives. They are very time efficient with their examinations and are direct and clear when explaining any results that may come up during the visit. They are so friendly with my son and I love it! Today, my son had a check up and his provider, Dr, Greer, went to check his groin area, before she did, she explained to him what she was about to do and that “Only Mommy, Daddy, and Doctors touch him like this.” I was impressed and so extremely happy and proud of my choice on where I take my son for his healthcare. Dr. Kayla Beard is amazing! She truly cares and is super kind, understanding, patient, thorough, and listens to any and all concerns! She is super easy going and very easy to talk to! We feel very comfortable having her as a doctor for our baby who has a complex case of health issues! We came to Kayla after a negative experience at another pediatricians office and we wish we would have found Kayla sooner! She never rushes us and always makes sure our concerns and questions are answered and addressed. We can’t say enough great things about her and the care she provides! We have also seen all of the other doctors at least once for sick visits and they were all great! Most of the nurses are great too, aside from one or two who aren’t very friendly! Front desk ladies have always been friendly

I like the providers a lot. Just had to cancel a follow up because we were 7 minutes late due to traffic. The front desk lady said they have a 5 minute policy, and there was nothing she could do. No one in the lobby. Doc just needed to look in my kids ear.

I took my 3 year old to get seen today and Dr.Ann decided to try to scream at my child twice during her visit because she was being too loud. My advice to Dr.Ann is get a new job if you can’t be patient with toddlers as for the rest of the staff they’re amazing.

I’ll start by saying my teenager goes here and has had a wonderful experience with Kayla Beard. However, the experience I had with my toddlers left me and them traumatized. First, the woman who checked us in should 10/10 not be working where there are children. The amount of times she huffed and rolled her eyes at me while she was trying to explain paperwork and I had to move my attention to my two toddlers should have been reason enough to leave. If you are working in a pediatric office you would think you would have more patience; it didn’t help that the entire time she was trying to check us in she was picking up the ringing phone line and asking people to hold and slamming down the phone.
