UPMC Bedford

We had a great experience at Bedford Hospital during a very stressful situation. The doctor was wonderful, he took the time to ask questions, listened closely to how he was feeling, and made us feel confident in the care being provided. Check-in went smoothly, the nurse tech was great, the IV nurse was amazing, and the X-ray techs were very kind and efficient. Everyone worked together so well and helped him start feeling better quickly. I wasn’t sure what to do and knew he was in bad shape, but the care and attention we received made all the difference. We are very grateful to everyone there.

I Had to take my daughter here which happens to be 5 hours from her primary care physician. They immediately took great personal care of my daughter, confirmed her RSV diagnoses and had us out the door with prescriptions in an hour. By the time we left my daughter was acting herself again. I Really appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the thoroughness of the testing they did! Happy new year!

My boyfriend had a procedure done for the first time and the team here was amazing. Thank you so much for easing his mind and making him comfortable. He would recommend anyone to come here. He also said if he needs another procedure done, he'd want to come back here. God Bless You All at Bedford Hospital.

Writing this review just to make others aware of the insane wait time for imaging results. I had a scan 7 WEEKS ago and have not received results. I finally called to see what was going on, was told that they will try to push my scans up in priority since I have a specialist appointment in a week that will need them but was told that there was no guarantee. I asked how much longer they estimate that it would take if it was not read by the time of that appointment, they said they couldn't even answer because they are so backed up. If I had known it would be almost two months to get results back, I would have gone elsewhere. I have never heard of medical imaging taking this long. The staff was nice in doing what they could but this is not safe.

No matter what you go for they won't fix you the first time. They like to make sure you come twice, so that you can pay them some extra money. The front office people are nice and great. Also, PA Gordon does a great job. Listens to you even when he is busy, and does the right thing. I believe the doctors and PAs get bonuses if they cause you to have to come more than once. They don't care about your life situation or a work situation they don't understand that not everybody can call off anytime they want. No matter how much you tell them no matter what you say they're extremely disrespectful in that manner. Like I said the front office people are great but the doctors they'll do anything they can to make sure that you have to pay more. I would rather just pay more the first time. Eve
