I generally don't post reviews. However, I am posting this one because I had a horrible experience with one of the people working in the registrars office at this facility. I am an ADN registered nurse attending UMSON for my BSN. This is my first semester and I have zero clue what the protocol or policy of this institution is. Anyway, I had a communication issue which I found out was due to the fact that this school corresponds via school email. Instead of the particular young lady I spoke with today offering an apology, she went on to say "We deal with college students. No one should have to tell you to check your school email." Completely unprofessional and a horrible representation of the facility. Im honestly reconsidering giving my money to this institution after this. I truly wish I
I previously attended UMD, I was totally appalled by the unprofessionalism from the professors towards the students. The faculty need serious training on professional behavior. I witnessed faculty scapegoat students, demean them, belittle them, reduce them to tears. If you do not like working with students, please reconsider another profession. The eating your young phenomenon sadly begins in nursing school, especially in the med-surg and community health departments. I truly hope that the faculty professionalism has improved from my nursing cohort.
Almost a month to get help from an advisor to talk about a program at the nursing school. Tried to calling a few different departments on the main line, no one answered. Sent a few emails got a response to set appt with advisor and that’s where I have to wait almost a month! I went on the chat online and they were so disrespectful they ended the chat on me. What a terrible display of customer service, professionalism, and help to those of us wanting to be trained in healthcare to help others.
Thorough and personalized education with state-of-the-art equipment and professors who were masters of their fields. I feel so fortunate to have been able to experience the nursing education process offered by this establishment.
One of the best nursing school in the nation. The diversity and welcoming academic environment is outstanding!
