This UMD facility is very good. I have a complex condition caused by a medication error out of state and struggle to find doctors who feel comfortable treating me during the investigation into what happened. I have not struggled here. My PCP is wonderful. Urgent care is wonderful. They go above and beyond compared to most other medical systems. Most of all, UMD has never made me feel like a burden. They are understanding of my anxiety regarding healthcare and do not judge me when I need a moment to compose myself. Wait times can be a little long, but really, is this a huge issue if the care you are receiving is in fact good and the staff involved do in fact care about your well being? Absolutely not. Waiting in the phone for the 2nd time for over 10 minutes just to make an appointment. There use to be a way to make appointments online. Please bring that back. Attempted to make an appointment through messages in my chart and they just told us to call. My husband has had 3 different primary care doctors at this point and they keep retiring or leaving the practice. They can’t keep doctors which is a sign things aren’t run well. So unbelievably frustrating just trying to refill his blood pressure medication and they won’t refill without an appointment and now we’re at 14 minutes waiting on hold still while I wrote this. So unbelievable.

Was not seen until 545 pm for a 330pm appointment. Waited in waiting room with sick urgent care patients. Fast forward to receiving bills, was not informed at the appointment or the follow up that the facility was Out of Network for my insurance. Continuously called (for months), could not get through to billing dept, finally was told it would be resubmitted to my insurance. Still not covered, UMDFP continued sending statements, I tried appealing with my insurance company. They did nothing either. Finally, I let it all go to collections, begrudgingly settled with collections last week, and today received a new bill for services rendered on 10/16/2024, almost ONE YEAR ago. These charges were not included in the charges sent to collections, so UMDFP is saying I owe MORE $ to them! Thei

At 419 W. Redwood st the downtown front office are AMAZING and wonderful people. The front deck worker is a marvelous staffs by the names of Jakierra Gay, Mackeeta Perry, Tamara McCain, Michele Malone and Tanisha LaRose.

Dr. Prao is my primary care physician and also is my son's doctor. She is exceptional - detailed, knowledgeable, and accessible. I am beyond thankful to have her supporting the health of myself and my family!!
