University Hospital at Downstate: Outpatient Services

ER is horrible place. Feels like an AI nightmare. The staff treat each other very bad. They treat the patients and family very bad. They cannot keep up with where the patients are. It's like the staff are desensitized. A change of management needs to be made. Maybe a visit from the DOH!

So I’m using my Aunts phone and her email. As my phone is dead and it was a crucial must to post this. As a person in the medical profession. I always advise to speaking up and being an advocate for yourself. I went to Downstate Hospital due to cough, fatigue and chest tightness. I was seen by Dr Raghavan, Ranjita who stated she was the attending very very rude, nonchalant and unprofessional. When I addressed my concerns and stated I wasn’t well, she stated I came off as an individual with attitude ( yet I stressed I was not well). When I addressed my well-being on my medical management( as most doctors value patients input) , I was brushed off( due to having multiple heath issues after Covid) Dr. Raghavan, Ranjita refused to take my health concerns seriously… brushing it off as a diffe

Horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible horrible Standards of a hospital 1. The bathroom smells bad not clean at all. 2. You can tell that they just hire any onee. The nurses, registrars nurse and even the doctor horrible, they don’t even have person centered care. One of them I heard sayyyy it’s Saturday! And it’s pack in the ER I feel like statement like that should not be said because one you working in the Damn Emergency room. What the hell he aspected an empty er room. Reads simply lazy to me LAST, my 5yr child sat there for 3 and half’s close to 4 hours WITHOUT BEING SEEN AT ALL I TOLD THEM YO CUT THAT BAND OFF HER Wrist nowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww And left I am never going back there. The end

Unbelievable been here since 7pm ,so call nurses say they called and now it’s 11:26 I had to sign up all over again smh.

Horrible! The doctor who was assigned to me, was no show. I had 4 tests done, plus blood tests and I had not heard any results yet. Patients need to know what is going on with their tests, we are anxious to know. 3 days in the hospital, cannot take a shower, because there is NONE. Most staff unprofessional. My doctor is sending "interns" to do their jobs to see me, they are very young, have no idea what they doing. My doctor did not want to be with the patients. WHY ARE YOU A DOCTOR, THEN?
