UNIVERSITY HEALTH CARE SYSTEM

The nurses and front desk workers are disgusting. Very bad attitudes. My pregnant dehydrated wife is brought into the back and the nurse is so rude and smiling in my face when asked if we could get an IV to help her from dehydration. She says no that there are other people in the waiting room that we need to proceed with what we are doing. There was no remorse that she had been throwing up since 8 this morning with no fluids or food in her body. She then raised her voice when asked why an IV could not be administered to atleast hold her over, and walked out of the room and never came back. We waited almost 5 HOURS to be seen after blood was being drawn, as other people were being seen before her, Who got there at a later time. I am disgusted with the treatment in the ER and do not recommen

Unacceptable the way the emergency room “clerk” treats visitors. Hostile & confrontational, “Jackie”, states “policy” better an audio book, but how about remembering you are dealing with human beings and their loved ones, some of which won’t leave your policy filled hospital. Kindness and compassion are just as important. By the way the policy does not state that you cannot swap out, and it also states end of life is 4 visitors and may be more if allowed by the doctor. Which we received from my dads doctor.

Everyone giving a 1 are incentive and selfish. They don’t understand the amount of stress and work the healthcare industry goes through. I didn’t go through what they described but my Appendix decided to almost burst and despite being young, they treated me with outmost respect and so I gave them the same. It was my first surgery and I was scared and still am but they’ve been there for me. My doctors, techs & nurses were absolutely amazing and I know I’ve be in good hands if I ever need to return to this hospital.

I am a victim of one of their Aiken doctors, Mark Orgel, who, after contract negotiations fell through with my insurer AARP/United, cut my care off OVERNIGHT, after I'd been on a pain med after I was put on it because my liver/kidney tests showed I had to go off NSAIDS. He REFUSED to give me one more refill for 30 days, to either taper off or find another doctor, and hung up on me and my insurer when asked. Both blocked my email. Sudden withdrawal is excruciating and causes dangerous seizures, sometimes death. Also, I'd been paperless, and I just now found thousands in bills he sent to Medicare for unneeded/undone lab tests. Totally crooked doctor and parent company.

This place is absolutely filled with the most unsettling and childish nurses I have ever seen for what I DID see. I overheard nurses laughing at a woman who was in obvious screaming pain talking about her loudly. Not only that but one was talking about her “privates sweat” loudly. I will never go back here I don’t even give this place one star: I was Very uncomfortabl the whole 5 hours I was stuck there.
