UnityPoint Clinic Urgent Care - Ankeny Medical Park

My schedule appointments have always been kept on time. I've had efficient knowledgeable service. The most amazing thing is when I have multiple tests all of the results are sent to me and I have them available even before I get home. The speed is absolutely awesome for the testing. My experience with the online app in addition has been very smooth and efficient. Anytime that I've called in I asked for the triage nurse and my experience has been excellent. I have had no issues that have not been resolved quickly and efficiently.

I scheduled a specific appointment time, but it meant absolutely nothing. I still waited far past my time slot( 1 hour) with no explanation or apology. If you’re going to offer scheduled visits, you should respect them — otherwise don’t bother. On top of that, the billing was incorrect from previous unitypoint visit. I was charged improperly and had to spend additional time trying to get it sorted out, which is frustrating after already dealing with a long wait. What made everything worse was the poor quality of care. I felt rushed, not listened to, and left with more questions than answers. A couple of the staff showed little concern, and the overall experience felt careless and unprofessional. I had to go to another clinic the following day - who gave me an actual diagnosis and treatment

The doctor had the worst bedside manner towards my daughter. Pretty much sent us packing without much info and we ended up having to take her to the blank children's hospital a couple hours later because her symptoms got worse. Never going here again. The nurses were both great, they are the only reason it's not a 1 star.

02-12-2026 I have been coming to this urgent care since they first opened this Unity point. And I have always been treated with respect I have felt that everyone has been very professional. And I respect that as I am a District Manager with Wendy’s, But today I came in as a walk-in this urgent care allows, walk-ins the lady that was checking me in was rude, sarcastic and arrogant to me and all I was trying to do is see a doctor so I could get a refill for my meds.

We went with our kid today, thinking it is an Urgent care, so walk in!!! They were supposed to close at 4pm this Saturday and we live 3 min from this facility, so we walked in. At noon….Just a couple in the waiting room. The receptionist is telling us they are full for the day and they don’t take any patients anymore. What kind of Urgent care is this??? Turning down sick kids 4 hours before closing??? Shame on them! I worked as a family medicine resident in Canada, I have never turned down a patient, especially a kid! What kind of health services we are having here???
