UnityPoint Clinic - Express Care - North Port

I booked an appointment to establish care through the online portal in November 2025 and I had to wait till January for the appointment. I specifically searched for a provider who was accepting new patients and the online portal clearly said the provider was accepting new patients. I received a confirmation email stating the appointment was scheduled. I went to the appointment and they told me that the providers practice was closed and they had called to tell me. I checked my call log, voicemail, spam box, blocked calls, text messages, email, and T Mobile call log and they never once reached out to contact me. At no point did anyone talk to me or leave a message. They refused to see me and I was forced to schedule an appointment with a different provider who isn’t available until March.

Made on line appointment in the evening. Got an appointment at 11:30 next day About a 6 min wait after I checked in and friendly assistant taking my vitals and reporting my reason for being there in the paperwork. Provider friendly, knowledgeable and explained what the problem was and what meds I needed. Happy with visit and results.

Got an appointment & waited over a month for my children to establish care since we just moved into the area, did all the long paperwork, just to be told they won't establish due to not following THEIR medical "policy." If you can't except ALL patients & give us INFORMED CONSENT like true medical professionals supposed to, then you're in the wrong field.

Very very unprofessional. B. Belitz, ARNP told my husband him going to urgent care was a waste of time and money for them. He told my husband he was taking away time from other patients. Judgement is not their job, treatment is.

I had a good experience. I joined the wait list and was brought back right at the time I had joined the list for. I had to wait a bit in the room for the doctor, but nothing terrible. Dr Wood was straightforward and helpful. I know some may have had experiences with long wait times, but that wasn’t my case this time around. Sadly, long waits can be the state of things nowadays, especially with it being harder to get into your GP for urgent needs.
