UNC Urgent Care at Midtown Raleigh

So I walk in before 7:30 to be told that they’re not seeing anymore patients after 7:30. Mind you I walked in and turned around walked out through the parking lot to my vehicle and looked at my watch and it was only 7:26 when the sign on the door said to be checked in before 7:30. They could’ve gotten me in as there were no patients at all in the whole facility so it’s it like they were busy or swamped.

This is my 3rd time being admitted to this clinic (various conditions) and so far, it’s been very reliable. I only expect to hop-in and leave especially when I’m in extreme discomfort but the doctors and FNP were all helpful and informative. This last visit was a relief as I was in pain for days and was adamant to go to an ER or urgent care but I ended up going as my pain tolerance has progressed. The good thing is I’m already in their system, they are up to date and they have some of my medical records from the primary UNC. Morgan Short, FNP was very informative, has good bedside manner and she answered all our questions without reservation. While I wasn’t expecting to be asked about my recent medical record, I thought it was nice that she did — may it be for drug interaction, I thought

Was seen here for a laceration on the bottom of my foot. Everyone was very nice and the facility was very clean. Was taken back quickly & was out in no time. I appreciate their thoroughness with cleaning the wound & for excellent aftercare instructions.

I went to this urgent care on a Sunday morning for a bad cough and was treated very compassionately and professionally. I made the appointment online and was seen in a reasonable time after arriving. The nurse who checked me in was very kind and took care to listen to my symptoms. The provider who prescribed the medicine and treatment plan also listened carefully to my symptoms and was conservative about treatment which I appreciated. I would not hesitate to return and would recommend this urgent care to others.

I would say that little professional my husband has allergies and had a sore throat and has a deviated septum. We tried to explain it to the doctor (John Martin) and he looked at us as if we were lying about what my husband was explaining. And he looked at us with great racist disdain. He also didn't take much time to check what we explained. We are very upset. Because you pay for the consultation as if it were free, what a disappointment.
