UNC Urgent Care at Garner

I go to this urgent care whenever I need to be seen immediately and I’ve yet to be disappointed. The staff are very professional patient and understanding. I suggest this location over the midtown six forks rd location to who ever needs medical attention without the desire to go to the ER.

Went to this urgent care 12/12/25 for high blood sugar issues according to my CGM monitor and a finger prick test I did on myself. Urgent care tested my finger upon arrival and said my levels were fine which I knew they weren’t. So I went straight to WakeMed and they said my levels were way higher than 98 which urgent care said it was. Had I not trust my gut I could’ve been in a dangerous situation. As for now I’m traumatized by this urgent care and do not plan on retuning. I was seen by Dr. Jacob Clairmont on this day.

I’m currently at Urgent Care for an issue with my eye, and I want to report the extremely rude and unprofessional behavior of a staff member who identified herself as Betsy. This is the closest facility to me, yet the way patients are being treated here is completely unacceptable. No one seeking medical attention should be made to feel uncomfortable or disrespected. I came here for care, not to be spoken to poorly or made to feel like a burden. This experience needs to be addressed so others don’t have to go through the same treatment.

Review of Visit – 09/05 at UNC Health Care I came in on Friday, 09/05, for an asthma treatment. However, my exit paperwork incorrectly stated that the reason for my visit was a cough, which was not accurate. I was seen by Morgan Short. She checked my lungs and concluded that I should take nasal spray, Benadryl, and Flonase. These medications had nothing to do with my main concern , my breathing. She said she didn’t hear any wheezing, but I could clearly hear myself wheezing. With almost 30 years of experience managing asthma, I know the difference between asthma-related breathing issues and something like mucus. Despite my history being visible in my records, I was denied the treatment I came in for. The appointment ended abruptly, with the door left open as if to indicate she was finis

The wait time is unbelievable long. They need to work on their customer service skills. I recommend going to any other urgent care
