I wanted to give a shoutout to the team from the hospital today. My nurse Carmen was so good. An absolute pleasure to talk with and she definitely made me feel at ease on an already stressful day. The student nurse anesthesia Ashley and Mazen were great as well. Super attentive and kind when helping me today. Kimberly and Jackie were also amazing with my recovery. There was one other nurse in my recovery but I cannot remember her name (I’m sorry!) she was amazing too. Everyone was great with my care today. Special shoutout to my anesthesiologist Dr Papier (I hope I spelled that right). He was such a joy to talk to and really put me at ease with my biggest fear which was going under. You could immediately tell this was his calling and he was made for this job.

I’ve never been so disappointed in a trip to the hospital. I have had MS for 6 years, and presented to this ED mid flare-up with symptoms of nausea and dizziness. After 4hrs of being there, all they did was charge me a copay of $1,000, give me some Zofran intravenously as well as some IV fluids and do CT scans of my head and abdomen.(which my abdomen wasn’t my primary concern in the first place) They refused to give me steroids of any kind without doing MRIs, which would have taken all night. I was told I wouldn’t even have a chance to speak with anyone from their Neurology team until sometime tomorrow even after the MRIs. So, I’d have to do MRIs, but I also can’t get steroids, one of the main methods of treating and calming MS flare-ups, without seeing Neurology which I wouldn’t be able t

This is the best hospital around.. period. The doctors and nurse's on 3 East treated me like gold. Just the positivity of this team probably helps with the healing. I can't remember all their names if I forgot somebody I'm sorry but Whitney, Kiki, Brenda, Linda they all deserve a raise. Dr Cook knows his stuff and was straight to the point and had a plan. The man genuinely cares about his patients. One day a representative from the hospital came in making sure I was being treated good and I told him it's the best experience I've ever had I felt like I was on a cruise ship or something. Even the guys that brought me food everyday were totally pro. The folks on 3 East really love their job. On day 2 a couple nurses showed up with towels ready to turn the water on. They put plastic over

Don't go here or send your loved ones here. My mom was admitted to Rex 2 years ago for a spinal procedure. It did not go well and they pumped her full of opioids, ignoring every request to perform some type of physical exam as to why she was getting worse. Not only physically, but cognitively. They brushed it off as her being old and having dementia. She certainly did not have any cognitive degradation prior to being admitted there. When she was discharged to a rehabilitation facility they had pumped her so full opioids that she was in an overdose state. Less than an hour after she arrived at the nursing home EMS was called. They had to give her narcan. EMS brought her back to Rex so they could fix what they broke. Spoiler alert- they didn't. The nurses never changed her, she was often l

While waiting for a patient to have a battery changed and a pacemaker, we ate at the café and I got a southwest chili Philly. It was delicious. I tried to give them a tip, but it wouldn’t accept it. They did a great job. The sandwich tasted really good and it was done quickly.
