UMD Urgent Medical Care

Visited this location first thing on a Monday morning and experienced no wait time. Dr. Monk handled my case and was pleasant and knowledgeable enough, no complaints. The doctor who called to give me my results, however, was less than satisfactory. Dr. Wong was harsh in delivering sensitive results, cold in his explanation of next steps, and rushed to get off the phone without offering me an opportunity to ask questions. Additionally, when I called back to confirm the dosage he prescribed me was sufficient he assured me it was correct, anything else would be "overkill", and that he didn't want to overprescribe medication. Not the best visit this time. Made an appointment which was not honored because of walk ins so I ended up waiting 40+ minutes to get seen. After being diagnosed with flu I received 2 prescriptions. When I contacted my pharmacy the urgent care never called them in. Called them the next day when they opened and it wasn’t until hours later that they called the script in but only 1… at this point I just took what they gave me. Hoping this was a fluke visit. I still give 4 stars because the staff is great

I came in today after speaking with the front desk staff over the phone… I wish I could give 5 stars because they were quite literally a dream come true. They helped me check in quickly, answered all of my questions, and made me feel very comfortable. The nurse who took my vitals was kind and asked all of the right questions. He was gentle and made sure everything was ready for the doctor before he came in. LOVED! now…. the doctor… mama girl…. Not only did he talk down to me, but the way he treated his staff was near abusive! I was shocked at how unkind he was to the nurse who helped me… I am not one to write reviews because I know how hard it is to work long hours but this was just unacceptable…

Had a cold that kept getting worse so I came in on a Thursday morning. Front desk staff was friendly and helped look up my account and verify my insurance. I saw the Dr right away (Dr. Wong) and he was very thorough and helpful. I had an issue with my rx at the pharmacy so I had to call them but someone answered right away and was able to fix it instantly. Will use again!

Dr. Monk was phenomenal. I came in after slicing off part of my finger while cooking. He saw me immediately and was calm and efficient. He has impeccable bedside manner. He also followed up with me a few days later to check in. I highly recommend this practice!
