Customer Reviews
Was visiting Baltimore for the weekend and my throat was hurting so I went to the urgent care. I don’t know if that’s how service normally is or if it was because I was an “out of towner “ but the service was really great. I can’t remember the 2 ladies names but they were so wonderful. I was in and out with antibiotics within 2 - 2 1-2 hours and able to enjoy my weekend. Thanks again
I’m not really sure why they made the decision to replace their computers(so they can’t see any patients for at least an hour is what I was told) in the middle of the day. That’s generally something that, for most businesses especially an urgent care, should be done after hours. My experience with University of Maryland, as a whole, has been terrible. Don’t waste your time or money at a UMMC facility, just go to Hopkins or MedStar for urgent care
My mother recently took my little sister to UM Urgent Care | Downtown Campus for a sprained ankle, and the experience was disappointing and upsetting. A nurse took her pulse and blood pressure, but no one took her weight during the visit. Despite that, her after-visit summary included a recommendation to “lose weight,” which felt completely unnecessary and inappropriate—especially since her weight had nothing to do with her injury and was never discussed. What made it worse was the wording of the recommendation. It referenced reaching out to her provider using he/him pronouns—which happens to match her actual primary care doctor. That made it feel personal, not a generic note. It seemed like the medical assistant, Dania, looked at her chart and decided to include the comment deliberately.
The medical assistant that i had was awesome she made sure my vitals were thorough. However the provider brushed off my concerns never checked me physically. He had me sit on the table and just ask me questions and offered me a rx for ibuprofen. He didn't check my lungs or heart with the stethoscope. He didn't care that i had and still having this weird moving feeling in my back area. No covid or flu test was offered or given. I'm so disappointed because this visit left me feeling more anxious.
The lady and the security guard up front have real attitude problems, if you don't want to interact with people maybe find a job that doesn't involve any interaction with people... Just a thought. But then again thats about par for the course for Baltimore
