UI Health Care - Urgent Care

Excellent compassionate care. Outrageous prices. You should know that a strep test appointment with a nurse practitioner (who was wonderful) will be billed at $645. $400 for the 30 minutes in the room (5 min with the provider), $245 for the strep test. Outrageous price gouging of the worst kind, taking advantage of people when the are vulnerable and sick. No complaints on the staff, facility, or care - they do not pick the prices. Insurance will reduce it to $450 but it is still absolutely ridiculous. We will not return.

This urgent care was a complete waste of time. I went in with a severe cough and sore throat that’s been keeping me up for days—waking up in coughing fits and struggling to swallow. I was told I’d be tested for strep, that I’d get a call with the results, and that a prescription would be called in if needed. None of that happened. No call. No test results. No prescription. Instead, I was told to try hot tea with honey. Groundbreaking advice 🙄. I came in because I’m exhausted, in pain, and needed real medical help—not something I could’ve Googled at 2 a.m. I’ve since called and left a message and still haven’t received a return call. Unfortunately, like many, I had a poor experience at this location. The reason this place is receiving 2 stars rather than 1 is because the front desk lady was nice. While I understand that everybody is entitled to a bad day every now and then, it is reassuring to hear that I am not the only one who experienced quite rude behavior from the staff (other than the front desk lady). While I won’t go into detail of my specific interactions, I will say that I did not feel like I was taken seriously from the moment I entered the room. Dr Brian Clark may be the WORST doctor I ever encountered, he is very rude and not compassionate at all and doesn’t really care to hear what may be wrong with you! I love this location but if I had to deal with him again I would NEVER come back who tells a patient that what’s wrong with them doesn’t matter?? Like who gave you a license to be a doctor

I have been coming here since they opened, I have never had an issue, everyone has been very helpful and pleasant to interact with. I came in on the morning of 2/8/25 at 8:00a and the receptionist was rude as all can be. She had an attitude with every word that came from her mouth. I first tried to hand her my insurance, and she said she didn't need it even though I have not used it since receiving it. I was checking in on the tablet to put in my symptoms and I didn't even get to enter them because the tablet told me to see the receptionist. When I did she said it's the way you answered the question, it's fine. And when I tried to explain to her that I didn't get to enter my symptoms she cut me off.
