Uf & Shands Jacksonville

One of the worst hospitals! Refused service even with insurance. Doctor James in Orthopedics is the absolute worse. He has his staff calling demanding cash and telling me I was getting a discount. The entire time we have had Anthem Blue Cross, we had no issues with the Mayo clinic with my wife. However, Doctor James in Orthopedics wants cash! I have lived in Jax all my life and the best care has always been anywhere but here! Do not subject yourself to going here unless you want to be totally taken advantage of...Oh and the 12k he quoted he had the nerve to tell me he was doing that at a discount. Why not check the insurance like Mayo did and they charge way more!!!!!!

The worst Hospital EVER! The 2 girls in the E.R that does the patient intake had bad attitudes, rude and unprofessional. They made jokes amongst each other and laughed in my face due to me getting a little irritated that I've been there going on 10 hours and there where about 5 to 6 people that came in long after me that got seen before me. This hospital is a joke, I came to the E.R for chest pains, and been having migraines for over 3 weeks straight. I was there for 10 hours before a doctor seen me. The doctor was very unconcerned and dismissive. Then ordered to take my blood, which had nothing to do with why i was there. I left there feeling like they took me for a joke and I will NOT ever step foot in this sorry excuse for a hospital again.

Overwhelmed, floors were dirty, smells like urine in the hallways, nurses in the trauma unit laughing and making fun of patients and what happened to them. Pathetic and no compassion for the patients

This is a pathetic excuse of calling itself a hospital. This is coming from a person who is serving in the military with supposedly excellent medical coverage. I am saddened by how medical servises are below standards. Went to the emergency room on 11/20 and waited for 5 hours. I explained I was expecting and had bleeding. Ofcourse because I was not screaming and crying or over 20 weeks along, I remained waiting. I decided to leave because I was extremely exhausted and needed to go to work the next day. Howrver, I returned 11/22 with the same symptoms but increased bleeding and increased cramps. I waited hours before I got seen. Upon entering the room I was asked if I provided a urine sample. To which I responded No. I was given a cup and was requested to provide. That's when tragedy hit.

Just got my baby delivered here. Exceptional staff, especially coming from me who is very picky and funny with people. I want to give a special honorable shout out to Dr. Miller for that super hero role she did when I was in trouble with the baby. Her heroism, patience, such kind discretion, and gentleness with my condition was flawless perfection. I was under so much distress but the way she handled it helped me to stay calm and trusting. 🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹 I also want to give another respected support for Daniella who was an absolute delight when I was in post partum.🌹🌹🌹 Last but not least nurse Madison for communicating with such authenticity keeping me at bae with her angelic spirit. She knows how to talk to people and she's brilliant. 💗🌹💝 Thank you all for making it a whole lot easier for me. G
