Dr. Shi and his team are amazing. He is confident and skilled and diagnosed my issue quickly and perfectly. I had no pain after the surgery and he made sure my recovery was planned so that it would be successful. Mayo Clinic was a great facility in every way. Their scheduling, support, efficiency, state of the art equipment-all perfect. Best decision I made was to go there.

I hurt my right foot in January 2024. I saw a podiatrist in Leesburg from Feb until the end of July. I tried wearing a brace, a boot and physical therapy. In August I decided to get a second opinion at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. I saw Dr Glenn Shi at Mayo. He looked at the MRI of my foot and examined my foot. He knew within 15 minutes what needed to be done. He told me what was wrong with my foot, why this happened to my foot, and how he would correct it with surgery. Dr. Shi has truly changed my life. I broke my ankle in 2017. It didn’t heal right and I chose to have my ankle fused in 2021. That made everything worse. I was in so much pain and I didn’t think there was anything I could do. I went to see Dr. Shi in hopes that he could help me. He was able to take out my fused ankle and do a complete ankle replacement. My case was unusual and difficult but Dr. Shi took on the challenge. I will forever be grateful to him and the team at Mayo. I feel so much better and I’m getting my life back.

At 60 years old I have had spent a life time of tremendous pain, falling frequently because of the extremely high arches in my feet. This has caused further & extensive injuries to my right foot & ankle. Last year my ankle giving out caused a heavy fall & the need for ankle surgery.
