UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care Center - Clermont

Last year, I had a very difficult experience at this location. Because of that, when I started feeling unwell over the past two days, I was hesitant to return especially since I was dressed casually and worried I might not be treated appropriately. To my surprise, today’s experience was completely different. Dr. Skinner and RN Madeline were kind, polite, and attentive. They took the time to listen and made me feel heard and respected. As an outpatient therapist, I understand how important this level of care is, and I was truly grateful to experience it firsthand. With an international flight to Barcelona, Spain scheduled for tomorrow, I was feeling anxious. The staff acted quickly, identified my symptoms, and provided solutions right away. I have to say, I am very impressed 👏. Professional group, from start to finish. Especially on one of those days where what could go wrong, did go wrong. Had to bring both my daughter and mother into the urgent care for two injuries. Even registration was able to answer all questions clearly since the Urgent Care / ER model sort of confused me lol. Jo, RN was genuinely sweet and professional while dealing with my daughter. Dr Alexander was efficient, accurate and KIND when when evaluating my daughter in the urgent care. Thank you again so much. We had to visit UF Health Emergency & Urgent Care on Highway 27 around 3 AM this past Friday, and we were once again blown away by the incredible level of care we received. Wait time is zero - thankfully especially at that time of the morning and the facility is clean! Dr. McHale and Nurse Kelly — who also cared for us during a previous visit in January almost immediately recognized us. From the moment we walked in, they made us feel seen, safe, and supported. They explained every step of the process and treatment with clarity, patience, and kindness in what was a very scary moment for my family. First time patient here- they accept my insurance thankfully. I originally called my primary to listen to my chest and get a chest x-ray. But they don’t do x-rays and would send me to an imaging center. So I called UF and they do x-rays here. I just drove over and walked in and they checked me in. I soon saw a nurse who took my vitals and other items, very competent. Soon after I was examined and questioned by Dr Julie Alexander, DO. A very nice woman and very capable and caring doctor. She listen to everything I said, and we put together a plan to help my recovery from an illness. Everyone I saw, from the front desk, to the x-ray technician, and especially the nurse and doctor were excellent. The facility is both a walk in Urgent Care, and an Emergency Room, which is great. We had an amazing experience here! My son was not feeling well and we suspected strep. I was hesitant to go here at first because they are a urgent care/er combo. We try very hard to use walk-ins for non emergencies butnall wer closed. Dr. McHale and charge nurse Edward were so kind to him. They took their time and were compassionate. We were in and out super quickly. They sent his meds to the pharmacy before we even left. I highly recommend this urgent care! Well definitely use them in the future.
