UCLA Health West Hills Primary & Specialty Care

The office staff is always lovely, appointments are easy. Editing this post as it is now impossible to get any kind of appointment in under four weeks, including sick appts. Only option is to visit urgent care if unwell. The doctors must stop taking new patients, and get another doctor in this practice.

Their dedication and compassion truly set them apart in a field that can often feel thankless. Prior to UCLA health it was West Hills Hospital and they were amazing! Once UCLA acquired it, things went down the drain. The wait time is ridiculous. The way they set up patients in the lobby is abnormal. There is no primacy. You just sit in the lobby for hours while they call you back and forth for tests. Seeing the doctor takes the entire day sitting in the lobby. If you are in pain, don’t come here.

I recently started using UCLA Medical is West Hills since my doctor of 30 years retired. While the care is decent the billing is insane. I went in for a physical which is covered by my insurance. I was also scheduled a follow up call with the Dr. to discuss the results. I was on the phone for less than 10 minutes and they billed my insurance over $800 which due to my deductible was $500 for me. Do not use UCLA as a provider unless you are prepared for extortion.

Please do not go here! I beg you DO NOT!! Although, the doctors are good. They will charge you for nonsense. There’s bill after bill. They will charge the visit and then the fact that some doctors aren’t UCLA doctors. All the bills say I was seen but they were for my daughter and I’m not even the insurance holder so I have no clue why it’s under me. Others won’t even show they were paid. If you do come here KEEP everything and keep RECORD!! I have never had this experience before anywhere else. I studied Health Administration and something here does not add up…so please be careful.
