U First Health/ Desarda Hernia Center

I've previously had a mesh inguinal hernia surgery that was unfortunately not the greatest experience, but here at Ufirst my surgery front start to finish was the complete opposite. I had a lot of anxiety due to my 1st surgery that didn't go so great, but man was this place light-years of a difference. I'm truly grateful for everyone at Ufirst from BJ, dr. Thomas, David, the other nurses and staff that I had the pleasure to meet. Thank you for your professionalism and work in treating my hernia with grace and expertise. I will be forever grateful.

I was nervous about umbilical hernia repair surgery but my husband landed on U First by browsing Google after we received an astronomical $27,000 price where we live in Vero Beach. U first was not only reasonably priced but Miss BJ walked me through every detail imagine-able and was thorough and so kind and compassionate about getting me fixed up. I am 70 years old and I began to have the hernia about a year ago. After careful searching I found UfirstHealth Clinic in Fort Myers FL. Inserting mash for the repair was not attractive to me and heard other patients had complication from it. So I decided to go for the fairly new no mash process that only practiced by Dr. Robert Tomas to be treated by using muscle . In November of 2019 I had an avocado size inguinal hernia that was reducing my quality of life. I chose the Desarda method because I am a nurse and understand why it is superior, stronger than mesh and safer since no infection/rejection or migration issues. Once I studied and understood the surgery technique, I realized thier was no real alternative that is as safe and strong.
