Twickenham Pediatrics

We are so lucky to have Dr. Dawson and the folks at Twickenham Pediatrics as the health providers for our kids. Dr. Dawson is very attentive, never rushes us and always listens to the many many questions we have about our kid’s health. We recently had a medical emergency and within hours our child’s medical information was in front of specialist at the hospital and we knew our options. Dr. Dawson called us in and helped explained the situation to our 11-year-old in a caring and factual way; she also called us on her day off just to check-in with us the next day. I highly recommend Twickenham Pediatrics and Dr. Dawson specifically, your kids will be in great hands with her.

We’ve been loyal patients for 10yrs with Dr. Horton - we think the world of him and trusted him fully! Upon his retirement, we have been seeing Dr. White and we feel he aligns perfectly with the spirit in which Dr. Horton practiced medicine. Both Dr. Horton & Dr. White were/are thorough, down to earth, and take time to speak/explain things with the family. I love the option to communicate through the portal if I have a quick question that may not warrant a trip into the office. When we’ve had to call after hours we’ve always been able to speak to a doctor promptly.

We love Twickenham! I chose them on a whim the day my daughter was born (she's 4 now) We chose Dr. Horton because of Dr Seuss and I do not regret it. He's a nice doctor with good bedside manners. When some of our family moved here from out of state he gladly accepted my nieces too. I love that they train students as well and I hope everyone they train takes it seriously and acts just as they do! (They always ask first if it's ok if a student comes in too) He never pressures us to do anything if we choose to omit a flu shot. And he has never once pushed a drug/immunization on us if she wasn't ready. They get us in for sick calls whenever needed or answer questions on the phone as well. We have also seen Dr Dawson twice during sick visits and she is equally as amazing and patient.

I attended a prenatal appointment in the hopes of finding a compassionate pediatrician that prioritizes the well-being of my future child. I had an appointment with Dr. DeSimone and asked a few questions regarding how their practice runs and the policies they enforce. Dr. DeSimone was very unfriendly and did not seem to have passion about her profession at all. As she told me about the practice and their policies, she informed me of their vaccination policy. I asked about the option to opt out of certain vaccinations if I felt that was something my family was not interested in. She was very unwelcoming of the idea and stated that, "they refuse to care for unvaccinated children and their families." The staff and doctors here are wonderful to work with! They really go out of their way to help our children feel comfortable. I have Dr. DeSimone and she is truly the best! She is incredibly kind and will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. If you signed up for the patient portal the doctors will answer any questions you have too. I love that since I have a small child and I can write my question any time of the day or night!
