Traverse Dental Associates

I’m new to Traverse City and head my New Patient exam yesterday with Dr Chris and Samantha. I was more than impressed with the entire experience. The office is immaculate, the staff was full of smiles and very welcoming. Everything was explained in detail and Dr Chris took, what I felt, extended time getting to know me, my history and make sure I would be well served there. Today I had my cleaning with Emily. She was friendly, gentle and thorough as well. Again, friendly, smiles from each employee. The staff is happy there and it shows. I’m glad I chose Traverse Dental Assoc. I highly recommend.

I can’t say enough good things about this dental office. I’ve been a long-time patient, and the care has been consistently outstanding from day one. Dr. Josh Van Horn is everything you’d want in a dentist—skilled, professional, and truly kind. He takes the time to explain things clearly, never rushes, and makes you feel completely at ease. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients and their long-term health. Carrie, the hygienist, is just as amazing. She’s friendly, gentle, and incredibly thorough, and she always makes visits comfortable and even enjoyable. Both Dr. Van Horn and Carrie are real, down-to-earth people who treat you like a person, not just a chart or appointment slot. I've been a patient at Traverse Dental for 34 years plus. My longevity as a patient speaks for itself, but I'll add a bit more. Everyone working there has always been first class, from the doctors to their assistants, everyone. Elaine, who recently cleaned my teeth, is great! Super friendly and she does a top knotch job. Nice to know you can have confidence in the folks helping you stay healthy.

Bridget has been cleaning my teeth since I was a toddler, and I wouldn’t have it any other way! My family followed her to Traverse Dental Associates because we couldn’t let her go, and we met some great new people along the way. Dr. Christina is so kind and knowledgeable, best dentist I’ve been to! All of the staff is friendly, professional, and great at their jobs. Love this place:)

Radically different dental experience than every other one I've ever had. From the moment you walk in the door, you're greeted with kindness akin to being a patient for generations. I've been a patient of Dr. Josh for about 2 years, and we've had several procedures to address preexisting issues. Dr. Josh is just a great guy, very genuine, and willing to chat and share information. I honestly enjoy catching up with him during my cleanings. Speaking of cleanings, the hygienist staff is just the best. What a wonderful group of humans. I can't say enough good things about everyone here, and everyone seems to enjoy their jobs and co-workers. If you're looking for a dentist, these are the folks.
