We placed my mother at Transitions in Gettysburg, and our family couldn’t be more pleased with the care she has received. From the moment we toured the facility, we were impressed by the warm respectful staff and the clean welcoming environment. The nursing team is attentive and compassionate they know each resident by name and always take time to answer our questions. The facility offers a wonderful range of activities that keep residents engaged and happy, from music sessions to social gatherings like the "Red Hats". Communication with my family has been excellent and we receive regular updates and are always informed about her health and well-being. Meals are nutritious and varied, and accommodations are comfortable and personalized. We highly recommend this skilled nursing home to any

My aunt was cared for at this facility recently. I was able to visit a few times during her stay. The staff was amazing. The administrator Ms. Corley was able to quickly respond to some requests for my aunts care. Highly recommend!

The people that work here are amazing! They always made my father feel at home. Transitioning into a nursing home is not something he ever imagined he would do but the staff truly made it easier. He enjoyed everything from the food, activities, and the beautiful view from his window I cannot thank the stuff enough for making him apart of the family there.

My grandmother was here less than a week before I requested her discharge. She was interrogated by a doctor as if she were an addict because she requested Tylenol to manage her chronic pain. The day of her discharge, she had not received any of her maintenance medications for the day (her discharge was at 6pm). My grandmother needed assistance calling me to tell me that they were not giving her pain medicine, and after the nurse assisted her in making the phone call, they then provided the medicine. This really set the tone for the rest of her visit. It is also worth noting that the building was formerly a prison and is not very warm or inviting. So in addition to the way my grandmother was treated by staff, not receiving medication to maintain her health or comfort, she also felt like she

If I could give negative stars, I would. Do NOT, under ANY circumstances allow your loved one to be imprisoned here. Here's a brief list of what they did that almost killed my father in law: - put him on a liquid diet of 16 fluid ounces per day - put him on an extremely low calorie diet - refused to provide answers to simple questions like "Who signed the order for the dietary requirements?" and "What medications is he receiving?" - kept moving his room until they found one where everything was on the left side of the room after he'd had a pacemaker installed and was unable to use his left arm - did not manage his diabetes so his glucose was constantly in the 300s - let him lay on the floor for an indeterminate amount of time despite him screaming for help - did not follow his cardiologist
